Washington, Kennewick Mission

Chase has received his mission call and will be serving in the Washington, Kennewick Mission.  He reports to the Provo MTC on August 17th.  I love you Chase!  I am so proud!

Howdy Ya'll

A couple of weeks ago Seth and I took a trip out to Texas to see my Dad, Pamela and the gang.  Chase and Mason were already there so it was fun to meet up with them.  I loved introducing Seth to everyone because he had only met my Dad and Melyssa from that side of the family.  It was especially good to see Teancum and Lydia.  I love those two and I hate being away from them.  Texas was a lot of fun.  We went out to dinner to celebrate Cheyenne's birthday, went to a Rangers Game, went to Dave & Busters, took our engagement pictures and just hung out!  I didn't take as many pictures as I should have but I did get a few. So here you go :)

Good Lookin' Missionary

Jostlyn Walton took these fabulous pictures of Chase a month or two ago for his mission. These are just some of my favorites. Chase should be getting his mission call any time now....EEK!!

ENGAGED!!!

I AM ENGAGED :) It is a bit earlier than I had anticipated but I couldn't be happier. I know that Seth is the guy I need to marry and want to marry :)

On June 3,2011 I was having a pretty crappy day.  Seth called me around 2 and said he wanted to go to lunch. I already had to go run some errands for work so I told him I would meet him at Pasta Factory. Lunch was good and he got me out of my bad mood. Then he got up to use the restroom and never came back! The waitress came out with a video camera, a flower and a piece of paper taped shut. It was my first clue. Right away I knew what was happening and I started to get so shaky! She recorded me reading my first clue. It said:

"Sometimes when you think about this place, you shirk...yep, you guessed it-it's where you work!"

So I left the restaurant and hurried to the office as quickly as I could. And then I realized...I DIDN'T HAVE MY OFFICE KEY! Nobody was at the office so I had to drive home as fast as I could. I was running around the house like a crazy person trying to find my work key. Finally I got back to the office and read clue #2

"You're being a good sport.  Keep it up and head to the old airport."

When I got up to the old airport I saw his sister. She took me to the edge of the cliff where you could see all of St. George and read me clue #3

"We graduated from here in 09'.  You have to admit we had a good time."

So from there I headed to Dixie High where I found his brother. (I was starting to think this hunt would never end ha ha). Nick read me clue #4

"Your friend works here when she can, most people leave with a boost to their tan."

I hurried down the street to Island Tans to my beautiful friend, Jostlyn. She gave me clue #5

"Sophmores, juniors, and seniors still have a race to whitewash this hill."

So from there I drove up to the Dixie Hill where I found his mom. She gave me clue #6 and some directions for where to park when I got to my destination :)

"To be sealed for eternity in September, this is the place we'll both remember."

FINALLY I found Seth at the temple. He was in a suit and had a flowers for me. It was the sweetest thing and I was so incredibly happy! I'm so lucky to be engaged to him! I could not be happier!!! Sappy..but...I'm engaged so I'm allowed to be cheesy!! :)

The Big 21!!

It was Seth's 21st birthday yesterday! You're all probably wondering why he is on top of his fridge with his cake. It is a Lancaster tradition. Every birthday the birthday boy/girl hops up on the fridge to blow out the candles. It works out well because everyone can see them :) He had fun eating pizza and cake and ice cream.  He also got some fun gifts.  Two gift cards and an itouch from his parents and I. Happy Birthday babe!

Seth's Homecoming

Seth gave an amazing talk on Sunday, May 29th.  He reported back about his mission and spoke on forgiveness. I am so proud of him. After his talk we had an open house with lunch at his house. I really did a horrible job at taking pictures and I didn't even get one of Seth! What was I thinking?? I know Julie did though so I will have to steal that one from her. There were so many people there to support Seth and these pictures don't show it..but I promise they were there! Thanks everyone for coming!
