Christmas Phone Call

So, I just want to write really quick because I had a GREAT Christmas! The beginning of Christmas Eve day was pretty rough. I was really missing Seth and wanting him here for the Holidays. I have great friends who talked me through it and helped me to feel a little better. Thanks guys! By the time dinner came I was coming out of my funk and getting into the Christmas spirit. This is my favorite holiday after all! We had dinner, our Christmas talent show, read the Christmas story, each opened one gift, watched the Proposal (not really Christmasy but who cares ha ha) and then headed to bed so Santa could come! Christmas morning came and I got some great gifts from Santa and my family. My favorite gift I got was my African Nativity. It is so cute and it is now my prized posession. :) Then I hurried over to Seth's family's house for his Chirstmas phone call! Before we called him we exchanged gifts. His family spoiled me rotten and got me a KINDLE!!! WOW! I love it. Then we got to call Seth! I was the one to dial and got to say hello first. Made me pretty happy. It was a great phone call. I won't go into major details about it because I've already posted them on his blog (elderlancaster.blogspot.com) so go there for more details about that. Then I came home and have been doing laundry and cleaning all day since I am going to TEXAS tomorrow! I'm very excited about that. Well, that's it for tonight. One Whole Year

Today is a GREAT day. Seth has been on his mission for one year. I honestly never thought this day would come. Seth has made so much progress and this mission has been the best thing for both of us. I am so happy that he has been able to serve the people of Sierra Leone and learn to love them so much. It's all down hill from here! I am so happy I get to finally start counting down!

HaPpY HaLloWeEn!!

Happy Halloween everyone! Halloween is a weird holiday. Who came up with the idea for little children to knock on doors and beg for candy? So bizarre. But...It is still fun to celebrate I suppose :) I had a great Halloween weekend. On Friday night I went to Thriller with Jostlyn, Tiffany, and Jostlyn's mom (Debra). Thriller is my all time favorite part about Halloween. This was my fourth year and I would have been so sad if I missed it. The zombies chase you around at the beginning, intermission, and at the end.Then on Saturday night we carved some pumpkins! And yes, I did carve I love Seth into my pumpkin because I am that much of a nerd. ha ha. Later on my little brothers dressed up and we headed to the trunk or treat. After that I headed over to Jostlyn's house to watch a Halloween movie. It was a pretty great Halloween.

Collin's Mission Farewell

I got to go to Kent's baptism a couple of weekends ago! He is Jostlyn's little brother and I have known him for quite a few years. He's such a cute boy and I was glad I got to be there on that special day! After the baptism then we went to Dairy Queen for some ice cream to celebrate.

Sadies

Mason went to his first dance last Saturday. The girl who asked him was very cute. They woke up early and had breakfast. Then they went to a park and played then they had lunch at Subway. After that they headed back to the park for some volleyball. Later that night they went and got pictures taken and headed to Mesquite to go bowling and play in the arcade. After that they went to someones house and roasted starburst. Yummm. They never actually went to the dance but he said it was an awesome date.

Package!

I decided to put together a package for Seth.  So last night Kylee and I traveled to Walmart and purchased the necessary items of happiness. It's a pretty great package and I'm proud. I wasn't able to fit all of the goodies in it but I did fit most of it....I guess I'll just have to send another one again soon!

Amazing Weekend!

I had such an awesome weekend! I went up to Orem with Jostlyn, Kylee, and Kiersten. We met up with some more friends there and it was a jam packed weekend full of super fun things! We didn't get up there until about 3 in the morning on Saturday morning. Then we crashed at Macie's and Mi'kel's appartment. We started our morning off by doing a photo shoot at a park. Scott Jarvie took our pictures. He's become a friend of ours through Jostlyn. After that we went to lunch at Zupas! It was so yummy. I had chicken tortilla chili. After that we went to the creamery and got some yummy ice cream. After that we went shopping! It was a quick shopping trip because then we headed to UVU for the Neon Trees and 30 Seconds to Mars concert. It was amazing! But I don't know that my eardrums will ever go back to normal :) After the concert we headed to Sonic for some grub. Then we headed back to Macie and Mi'kel's because we were sooo dead! After that we headed to bed and this morning we hit the road and headed back home. It was a great weekend!
